Dec 5th,
Went to dinner last night and had Parrot fish. We thought we remembered buying this fish when we had our salt water aquarium in Los Angeles. The guy stuffed the fish with onions,tomatoes and peppers then BBQ the fish. There was a lot of meat on it. If we'd known the fish was this delicious , we won't have flushed it down the tiolet when it died! This morning was a little cloudy, which was quite nice for a change. Walked towards the harbor , there are a few resorts up this way, but mostly houses.
This is a view at the other end of the beach. In the morning most of the people living in these huts bath in the sea. Every family seems to have lots of kids, which happily play together.
A lot of the kids were searching for crabs or clams. They know if they find them, they will get paid money for them at the local fish market. Some local kids are going around offering to sing christmas carols and dance for money. I imagine there will be hoards of kids doing this as christmas draws near. Tomorrow morning we head out to catch the 9.30am ferry back to Cebu. Had to check up on the airport departure fees, found out we have to pay 750peso ($15) each to leave the country. We have to find another ATM, as we had forgotton about this charge. Next stop Bangkok, Thailand.
