Wednesday,
Up at 6am for our flight to Kota Baru at 7.45am. Flight took 2 hr 45mins from K.L. Once we arrived in Kota Baro, took a taxi to the port ( 45min) and then a boat (1/2hr) to the Perhentian islands. We're staying at the same place as last year, where Derek fell through the stairs, leading up to the cabins!! Got a 15% disc of the price of the cabins, as the owners remembered us!!
This is our room, kind of like a tree house, as we're eye level with the tops of the trees. Small but good enough.

Stairs leading up to our cabins. They're not even and the rise changes from 10 inches to 22 inches!! Counted 70 stairs to our cabin, and only 20 of them looked dodgy.
Beach outside our hotel. It's quieter than last year, even though we're into the season. Very nice being quite though.

We're on Coral beach, but a short walk through the forest brings you out to Long beach. More hotels on this side, so more people. Mainly backpacker cabins, along the center of each beach, with a couple of resorts at either end. Beach is much cleaner than last year. Maybe because we're 2 weeks later in the season, and they've done a clean-up.

Thursday
Nice lay-in. No early morning ballooning wake-ups !!!! This is the view from the restaurant. Last night, they played our copied DVD of 2012. Great copy, no hiccups. We've got another 20 in our backpack!
