Decided to walk through the forest to Long Beach. It's only a 15 min hike to the other side of the island. Long Beach is a wider and longer stretch of beach, that faces east, and so it's sunny first thing in the morning, most people lay out there at first, then mass migration to the other side in the afternoon. Haven't seen the monkeys since they held us captive!! But have seen a Monitor Lizard , they're about 3ft long and look like a small crocodile, tried to get a picture but they run away as you approach them. Place has lots of small salamanders and a few Gecko's that tend to laze ontop of the railings. Have to be careful at night, where you put your hands as you climb the rickety stairs. Few people have got Jelly fish stings, as there are a few remaining in the water,most of the fish have passed through this area. Have to remember that this is a Jungle, and we are invading their land! The photo is at the end of the walk through, just approaching Long Beach.
Had dinner on the beach, watching the sunset. Better than the movies!!
