Today was our snorkeling outing! After a lovely breakfast of pancakes and roti's washed down with coffee, we headed out to the boat. We stopped at 5 different places around the 2 main islands. Never thought I'd do it, but I REALLY enjoyed snorkeling. Each place had different fish to look at. We even saw three sharks, they were Black finned reef sharks, and we were assured that they were vegetarian! So, us not being vegetarians were safe ( Mich, don't go to Shark Bay!!!) Next stop was Turtle bay, where we swam with the turtles. We stopped for lunch at Fishermans village, stocked up on coffee and cookies, as they had a little convenience store! Then on to more diving locations. I think that all the amazing fish took my mind of the fact that I was partially underwater. There were neon green fish with pink stripes, we were surrounded by small striped fish, when the boat driver threw bread into the water. Some fish were multicoloured and huge. Derek said he had only seen fish of this variety when he used to go diving. Wish we had an underwater camera, so I could put some photos on this blog.
